MAFS stars Bec and Joel respond to THOSE romance rumours - New Idea

It wouldn’t be Married At First Sight without some couple swap rumours, and Bec Zacharia and Joel Moses have been the ones to raise eyebrows this year. Bec was matched up with Danny Hewitt on the Channel Nine show, and they are currently in a rough patch, while Joel had an ill-fated romance with Juliette Chae. Rumours have been swirling that romantic sparks might be flying between Bec and Joel, who have been spotted spending a lot of time together. Their cosy catch-ups have left fans wondering if they have become more than friends, and Bec fanned the flames when she shared an Instagram post saying she “missed” Joel, who was in Singapore with his mother. However, Bec has finally addressed her and Joel’s relationship on a TikTok live with former MAFS bride Awhina Rutene. However, others have been left shocked by the rumours, after Bec and Joel infamously had a Dinner Party blow-up. Some fans have shared their surprise over their friendship and argued that they would “never” get together after their row, in which Bec said Joel “repulses” her, while the groom accused her of needing “attention”. But, if their recent outings are anything to go by, it’s all water under the bridge for the pair. Speculation has been rife that Bec and Danny have split. After a tearful Commitment Ceremony, Danny was told by the experts to show Bec how he feels, as she was left doubting his intentions. They then hit another hurdle after Danny was left unimpressed by Bec’s renewed friendship with her former rival, Gia.
