Up To 50 GB/s: TaskForce Imagers Receive Fiber Network Extension

Atola Technology introduces the new 25G Fiber extension module with dual 25 GB/s ports for its flagship TaskForce and TaskForce 2 forensic hardware imagers. It is designed to integrate with the fiber-based network and shorten total acquisition time, supporting data transfer speeds of up to 50 GB/s. “Our new hardware extension is highly beneficial when imaging multiple evidence drives in parallel to a network destination,” says Vitaliy Mokosiy, CTO of Atola Technology. “Labs running 25 GB/s or faster infrastructure can expect to double or even triple the turnaround time on multi-drive cases.” Designed to Maximize Throughput and Efficiency The Atola 25G Fiber Extension module works with both TaskForce and TaskForce 2; it plugs into the PCI Express “Extension” port on the TaskForce’s back panel.  The module’s two 25 GB/s SFP28 ports feature bonding (link aggregation) support and are compatible with standard SFP28 transceivers and cables. To reduce the heat under heavy imaging workload, the extension is also equipped with a built-in fan.
