Built into dope.security’s existing agent, the new feature enables security admins to monitor and/or block sensitive uploads with unmatched precision by understanding content instead of relying on pattern matching. This improves data security and protects sensitive information all while reducing the operational overhead and alert fatigue typical of legacy DLP solutions. "As an ex-PM for the old generation of DLP solutions, I personally saw these cause tens of thousands of false positives in customer environments," said Kunal Agarwal, Founder and CEO, dope.security. "The issue is simple: the old tools do not comprehend text and instead operate pattern matches (e.g. 16-digit sequence must be a credit card number) to determine sensitivity. This results in both endless alerts and no true positives at the same time. Each option is unhelpful, and in 2025, we can do better. Dopamine DLP uses LLMs which are incredibly reliable in identifying sensitive information, empowering our fly-direct SWG to curb risky data exfiltration and enhance data protection with a one click configuration. No more mind boggling policy tuning." DLP tools that theoretically monitor sensitive file uploads have existed for ages, however the reliance on watermarks, regexes, and pattern matching constrains their effectiveness. Legacy DLP cannot reliably identify sensitive files, resulting in an unacceptably high false-positive rate, and the only alternative is turning it off or leaving it in a monitor mode which eliminates usefulness. Dopamine DLP leverages today’s technologies to rip and replace the old-school regex methodology with a large language model’s comprehension. This can classify and block data-in-motion while uploading files with a high degree of accuracy, enabling security admins to improve their security posture and curb risky behavior without sifting through an ocean of alerts. Security teams can identify, monitor, and block uploads containing PII, PCI, PHI and Intellectual Property with zero configuration required. "DLP has been a needle in the haystack problem for the last two decades all due to the use of regex pattern matches for data classification," said Jose Bellas, CIO, Cano Health. "By literally ripping and replacing this with Dopamine, the AI DLP has enabled us to be incredibly precise and secure with modernization."
