La Trobe’s Cybersecurity Program was recently awarded the Best Program for Young Individuals in Security at the 2025 Australian Women in Security Awards. The award recognises the program’s commitment to empowering young women and non-binary individuals, creating inclusive pathways, innovative learning opportunities, and strong peer and industry mentoring. Dr Leanne Ngo said she was proud that La Trobe’s Cybersecurity Program had been recognised on the national stage. “This award reflects the hard work of our staff, students, partners, and community who have trusted us to create inclusive opportunities in cybersecurity.” “Through strong collaboration between the university and industry, we are creating real opportunities for students to gain experience, build networks, and prepare for their careers.” “Our student cyber leaders not only excel in their studies but also uplift their peers, connect with communities, and build their careers.
