Detailsinfo
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in jsrsasign up to 11.1.0. Affected is the function KJUR.crypto.DSA.setPublic of the file src/dsa-2.0.js of the component Domain Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a signature verification vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-347. The product does not verify, or incorrectly verifies, the cryptographic signature for data. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Versions of the package jsrsasign before 11.1.1 are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature via the DSA domain-parameter validation in KJUR.crypto.DSA.setPublic (and the related DSA/X509 verification flow in src/dsa-2.0.js). An attacker can forge DSA signatures or X.509 certificates that X509.verifySignature() accepts by supplying malicious domain parameters such as g=1, y=1, and a fixed r=1, which make the verification equation true for any hash.
The advisory is shared for download at security.snyk.io. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-4600 since 03/22/2026. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
It is declared as proof-of-concept.
