Detailsinfo
A vulnerability was found in CTEK Chargeportal (unknown version) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a session expiration vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-613. According to WASC, "Insufficient Session Expiration is when a web site permits an attacker to reuse old session credentials or session IDs for authorization." Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
The WebSocket backend uses charging station identifiers to uniquely associate sessions but allows multiple endpoints to connect using the same session identifier. This implementation results in predictable session identifiers and enables session hijacking or shadowing, where the most recent connection displaces the legitimate charging station and receives backend commands intended for that station. This vulnerability may allow unauthorized users to authenticate as other users or enable a malicious actor to cause a denial-of-service condition by overwhelming the backend with valid session requests.
The weakness was released by Khaled Sarieddine and Mohammad Ali Sayed as icsa-26-078-06. The advisory is shared at cisa.gov. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-27649 since 03/12/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 03/21/2026).
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
