Global IT services and cybersecurity firm Abacus Group has acquired Entara, a US-based managed IT and security services provider, for an undisclosed sum.
Formerly known as YJT Solutions, Entara was founded in 2001 by Linda Maclachlan and is headquartered in Chicago. The company, now led by CEO and president Pam Diaz, provides a range of managed cybersecurity solutions for highly regulated industries such as financial services. It is also a key provider of the ServiceNow platform, comprising AI-powered tools for IT service management, incident response, and HR and customer service operations.
These capabilities are to be extended to Abacus clients and its portfolio companies through a combination with the abacusFlex platform, a multi-cloud suite of managed IT and cybersecurity services for the financial services sector.
Abacus says the acquisition is set to strengthen its "global reach and capabilities across cybersecurity, professional services, and digital infrastructure" and will "enhance the service experience and outcomes for all clients".
