SoftBank Corp.
Quantum computing is transitioning from a stage of discussing its theoretical potential to one of demonstrating concrete use cases and clear pathways toward commercialization.
This white paper presents the results of a joint research initiative between SoftBank Corp. and Quantinuum, developed under the long-term vision of Quantum AI Data Centers. Focusing on quantum chemical calculations and topological data analysis (TDA), it organizes a timeline for use case realization by connecting algorithmic requirements, hardware evolution, and market opportunities.
In quantum chemical calculations, the study demonstrates the applicability of scalable quantum algorithms incorporating quantum error correction codes. For TDA, it identifies an algorithm that may be compatible with near-term quantum devices and explores the potential application of this algorithm for fraud detection in telecommunications networks.
Furthermore, this white paper not only aligns technical feasibility with hardware roadmaps but also examines customer value and market size. By integrating these perspectives, it provides a strategic framework for investment decisions and business planning toward Quantum AI Data Centers.
