If you're calling from python, using stim.Circuit.detector_error_model, you need to add the argument approximate_disjoint_errors=True.
If you're calling from the command line, you need to specify --approximate_disjoint_errors.
So I followed and added approximate_disjoint_errors=True in my detector error model then used from_detector_error_model_file. However, when I try to fit the logical error probability per round, the fit does not match known results seen in literature (say, 2x the result from the literature). From this answer we know that approximate_disjoint_errors=True does affect accuracy, is there a way to bypass the need to set approximate_disjoint_errors=True?
