Bec was in tears after her Married At First Sight Australia 2026 match, Danny shared his vows on their wedding day.  “I’m looking for a Bonnie and Clyde type of love. With that being said, if I ever got locked up in prison, I’d like you to bail me out,” he shared.  Looking to settle down, Bec became stressed she wasn’t matched with someone “serious.” As MAFS viewers know, this issue was quickly cleared up, with the bride admitting, “I probably shouldn’t have cried like a little baby.” But this wasn’t the only challenging start to Bec and Danny’s relationship on MAFS. Below, The Weekly dives into their journey.  (Credit: Nine) The ‘I Love You’ Bombshell During a commitment ceremony, Bec confessed her love to Danny – in front of everyone. A moment that not only shocked viewers, but Danny as well who turned bright red! “It put me on the spot a little bit,” Danny told producers, after he didn’t repeat those words to his wife. “I don’t feel like you should tell someone you love them unless you truly mean it. Love’s a massive thing, and it’s a word that shouldn’t be chucked around loosely. She could tell me 10,000 times, if I don’t feel it I’m not going to say it back.” Days after, Danny spoke to the Daily Mail revealing there were no “hints” that Bec would say “I love you.” “Normally when a girl tells you they love you, they give you like breadcrumbs beforehand,” Danny said. “She didn’t allude to it. She didn’t give me hints. Then it just came out of nowhere.” View this post on Instagram The Couples Retreat The annual Couples Retreat is one of the most anticipated event on MAFS, and it quickly turned disastorous. Bec’s choice of language to describe Rachel and Steven’s physical intimacy certainly stirred the pot. “I just wanted to call us here tonight, it’s the first night of retreat and we’ve had ‘I love you’s’, we’ve had a couple that I thought could not come back from the brink of hell, and we’ve had finger bangs,” Bec said, referring to Stella and Filip, Juliette and Joel, and lastly, Rachel and Steven respectively. A major divide then rocked the MAFS group, with Danny and Bec on the outs. What viewers didn’t see was Bec laying “in the room crying for two days,” Danny shared to nine.com.au.. “Watching her, it was depressing to me. I shouldn’t be hanging out with the group and I wasn’t going to leave Bec alone like that,” Danny said, noting he “was on the verge of leaving the experiment.” “She put on a brave face in front of the cameras, but any time the cameras stopped rolling she’d be in the room just crying.” Intimacy Woes After being intimate on their honeymoon, Danny confessed he didn’t feel any sexual chemistry with his wife. Later, he awkwardly put Bec in the friendship zone… Unfortunately for the couple, intimacy – or lack thereof – was a hot topic at the first Dinner Party. Prior to entering, Danny told MAFS producers their chemistry was a measly 3 out of 10.  Bec slammed his rating on 2Day Breakfast with Nath & Emma, noting he was “shocking in bed.”  “Look, at the beginning, I would give him a solid 3 as well, but you’ll just have to wait and see,” she said.  (Credit: Nine) Despite this rocky start, their romantic connection grew after a date night away from the cameras. Intimacy Week saw the couple take a huge step in their relationship. “Danny uses humour as a defence mechanism and today I want to bring his walls down,” Bec shared before their night of intimacy began, which started with the couple painting the other with words that came to mind when thinking about their partner.  “It actually made me feel a bit emotional,” Danny admitted. “I find it a bit hard to put into words but the intimacy of it was a beautiful experience.” Journalist Tia Thomas Tia Thomas is a digital journalist who covers entertainment, health, beauty, fashion and celebrity news.
