Based in Newbridge, Axiom Manufacturing Services received the honour at the 2025 Elektra Awards in recognition of its growth strategy, workforce development, and commercial success. Chris Nye, managing director of Axiom Manufacturing Services, said: "This award recognises something we are deeply proud of, sustainable growth that comes from investing in people, skills and culture, not just equipment. "Our teams have driven exceptional progress over the past year, from operational performance to customer expansion. "This recognition reflects the quality, commitment and ambition that runs throughout the business." Judges praised Axiom’s focus on employee development, training, and progressive working practices, identifying the company as a "growing business with a clear, forward-thinking strategy." Axiom specialises in high-IP, low-to-medium volume electronics manufacturing for customers in the aerospace, defence, medical, and industrial sectors. The company offers end-to-end services, from early design and prototyping to final assembly, testing, and lifecycle support. The award follows a year of strong performance, with Axiom reporting double-digit growth in 2024. Turnover rose from £55.1 million to £68.2 million, a 26.6 per cent increase, with revenues projected to exceed £75 million in 2025. The company employs 318 people and has invested in flexible working options, expanded apprenticeship and graduate schemes, and supported more than 160 employees in gaining professional qualifications. Mechanical engineering apprentice Cole Parry was also nominated for the Rising Star Award at the ceremony. Axiom has further strengthened its management structure by appointing five senior leaders across operations, engineering, supply chain, planning, business development, and HR. The Manufacturer of the Year award puts Axiom alongside top global electronics firms and strengthens its position as a trusted manufacturer of high-reliability, technically advanced products.
