Guest Ian Thornton-Trump, CISO at Inversion6, and CyberEdBoard member, said vendors have moved past vague AI promises toward coherent business strategies, with security organizations reporting measurable gains in areas such as compliance automation and employee-facing security tooling. At the same time, he cautioned that agentic AI still lacks critical safeguards.
"What's the stop button for AI agents? We don't have that yet," Thornton-Trump said.
The panelists - Thornton-Trump, Anna Delaney, executive director, productions, ISMG, and Mathew Schwartz, executive editor, DataBreachToday and Europe, ISMG - discussed:
How enterprises are finding the AI sweet spot;
Why the Anthropic Mythos Project is intensifying the urgency of vulnerability management;
How OT-IT complexity, supply chain accountability and compliance processes are struggling to keep pace with software innovation that's reshaping the threat landscape.
