Founded in 2001, EC-Council today offers over 600 training programs, certifications, and degrees covering a wide spectrum of cybersecurity topics, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI), Certified Penetration Testing Professional (CPENT), Security Analysis, Threat Intelligence, and Information Security. Today, the network has more than 300 members – they receive training, education, career coaching, mentorship, and access to events, among others. Teaming up, EC-Council and Women in CyberSecurity Middle East have launched CyberSHE, a 4-week program that offers women seeking to pursue careers in cybersecurity gain technical and interpersonal cybersecurity training. Their joint aim is to train 1,500 women over the next three years, in line with their mission to help strengthen national cyber capabilities and promote more inclusive workforce participation. Delivered by leaders from government, academia and industry, the curriculum is taught over three weeks and is followed by a structured set of career-readiness modules that include mentorship, soft skills development, and industry insights. Having formally launched in Kuwait, CyberSHE will now commence its roll-out to other markets in the region, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, and Qatar. “Through CyberSHE, we are opening the door to global-standard training, mentorship, and new career pathways for women across the region. This initiative represents the kind of purposeful collaboration that creates lasting opportunity. We are honored to support it, and we believe it is just the beginning of a much larger movement to shape the future of cyber talent in the region,” said Jay Bavisi, President of EC-Council. Reem Faraj AlShammari, Chairperson of Women in CyberSecurity Middle East, added: “Through CyberSHE, we aim to create a generation of empowered, job-ready women professionals in cybersecurity.” Since its inception, EC-Council has certified over 350,000 professionals worldwide, with clients ranging from government agencies to Fortune 100 companies.
