I see scholarly articles on quantum algorithms and complexity, popular explanations of quantum annealing, and introductory guides to educational quantum computing. What i am looking for is a concrete, no-loose-ends example of translating a simple but useful classical computing task into a form that can be implemented on a quantum computer. Efficiency or inefficiency of such an approach is not important. What's important is the example, the thought process.
