MAFS' Bec responds after small dress hire business accuses her of screwing them over "It was one of the most horrific things to happen to me." PUBLISHED 15TH MAY, 2026 Married at First Sight (MAFS)‘s Bec Zacharia has been busy attending Australian Fashion Week, and in one of her interviews she revealed that she bought her own clothes for the show, rather than depending on dress rentals like some of the other brides. “Over the three and a half months I was on MAFS, I spent nearly $20,000. On MAFS you get no budget for fashion I was the only bride that bought all my own dresses, everyone else hired. I just felt like I really wanted to wear my aesthetic and make sure that i was wearing stuff that I felt really good in,” she told The Glossover Pod. While Bec did post a follow up story about one Dinner Party gown that was from a dress hire company, Savannah, the owner of RESRVD Bridal hire has since taken to Instagram to say that they dressed the MAFS star for Final Vows. View this post on Instagram A post shared by @theglossoverpod “I’m the founder of the small business that dressed Bec from Married at First Sight for Final Vows for free. Bec reached out to me asking if my small business would be interested in dressing her for Final Vows in return for exposure content tagging across her accounts, post production,” she said. Savannah added that being a small start up, she was over the moon about the opportunity, but doesn’t think the minimal coverage they received from Bec in exchange was fair. “I was so excited. I sent her out every single dress from my collection and just said, ‘Please try them all, pick what you like’. She ended up picking the gorgeous southern gown, and that’s what she wore for Final Vows. I was promised lots of exposure, crediting, etc. And what was actually received was a singular tag on her burner account. “Her main account currently sits at about 70,000 followers. We haven’t received anything on top of this tag. There’s small businesses behind these television shows and the brides that are wearing them, and it is incredibly disappointing when a small business is not given the recognition that they are promised.” @resrvdhire We were shocked to say the least… @Daily Mail @Married At First Sight @Mondrof ♬ original sound – RESRVD HIRE MAFS’ Bec responds to the claims made by the dress-rental owner Bec confirmed that her Final Vows gown was from the dress-hire company, but explained she felt that she’d carried out her side of the deal. “I promised a post. I posted and tagged to 11k followers on my Instagram. I did what I promised I’d do,” Bec told Chattr. “At Fashion Week I had no opportunity to discuss wedding dresses.” Bec was blindsided and brutally dumped by Danny at Final Vows — where she wore the dress in questions — and said the experience was so painful that it’s not something she’s eager to revisit on social media. “I am grateful for the loan of the dress for Final Vows but being that it was one of the most horrific things to happen to me, I need to move on with my life.” Well, the dress-hire business is certainly getting exposure now!
