How to construct the decoder of Entanglement-assisted error correcting code? I am interested in learning more about constructing an EAQECC from known codes, such as the Steane code. Fig. 14 in 'Direct Quantum Communications in the Presence of Realistic Noisy Entanglement(2022)' has been particularly inspiring. While I understand the syndrome measurement and decoding procedures shown in the middle and right sections of the figure, I do not fully grasp how the encoder is constructed in this manner(left section). It appears similar to the original Steane code encoder, but I am unsure how it was derived.
