Detailsinfo
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in OpenClaw up to 2026.3.27. Affected is an unknown part of the component Websocket Handshake Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a reliance on untrusted inputs in a security decision vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-807. The product uses a protection mechanism that relies on the existence or values of an input, but the input can be modified by an untrusted actor in a way that bypasses the protection mechanism. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
OpenClaw before 2026.3.28 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in the chat.send gateway method where ACP-only provenance fields are gated by self-declared client metadata from WebSocket handshake rather than verified authorization state. Authenticated operator clients can spoof ACP identity labels and inject reserved provenance fields intended only for the ACP bridge by manipulating client metadata during connection.
