Exclusive: Hosts Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne scramble as MAFS controversial groom Danny make surprise appearance
By Chelsea McLaughlin|A day ago
EXCLUSIVE: As hosts of the show, Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne are supposed to know exactly what's going on during an After The Dinner Party taping, but that all went out the window for the series' grand finale.
The final episode of Stan's MAFS after show will air today, Monday April 20 from 2pm, and filming was even wilder than the hosts expected.

"It is the most chaotic episode that we have had thus far," Laura told nine.com.au.
"I was like, 'What are we going to talk about? It's all been done now.' But you never have to worry about that, let me tell you!"

The episode will feature the biggest number of participants on the couch, including one they never expected to turn up – Danny.
Who would've thought! (Stan)
"Up until the middle of our filming day, we still didn't know that Danny was coming. Danny had ghosted everyone's calls. He was totally offline," Laura said.
"Then out of nowhere he called and was like, 'I want to come on the show and I want to talk about it.' The producers moved heaven and high water to get him there, so he's on the show, which no one expected. He was the biggest wildcard and it's worth a watch."
Does that mean Danny, who refused to sit on the couch with ex-wife Bec, will finally come face to face with her?
"Our lips are sealed," Britt teased.
Well, well, well... (Stan)

Throughout filming of the series, the hosts have sat across from participants and been present when bombshells are dropped in previously unseen footage.
For Britt, the most shocking moments came from the extent of the brides' feuding.
"Every week I kept waiting, thinking it will move on and there'll be more drama with the men or something, and it didn't happen," she said.

"That was a rough watch, but I think it was a good learning lesson for Australia to take away. A lot of women, and men, are going to look at that and take something from it ... Even Gia said on our show, 'I knew I was bad but I didn't know I was that bad.'"
While it's been juicy, they've also found common ground with even the experiment's most polarising figures.
"I think it was surprising how much sitting down with someone humanises them," Laura said.
"It allows them to have a conversation with the public as well and explain themselves beyond what happens on the actual show. It gives them a voice."
After weeks of refusals, Gia finally appeared on the ATDP couch - and surprised the hosts. (Stan)

The hosts have relished their first TV hosting job, especially interviewing participants whose opinions they did not agree with.
"The thing that I thought I would find the most challenging is actually the thing I enjoyed the most," Laura said.
"I loved having those conversations with Tyson. I loved having the conversations with Danny ... We ask the questions and they tie themselves in knots answering it in a way they think is justifiable."
A perfect representation of their discussion with Tyson! (Stan)
Britt agreed: "Giving yourself a voice and being able to put your opinions out with someone you disagree with is liberating," she said.
The upcoming After The Experiment episode was not part of the show's original plan, but was added thanks to the "appetite" of audiences.
Because while the experiment may be over, but our desire for more scandal is not!
MAFS: After The Experiment will premiere on Monday April 20, from 2pm, only on Stan.
