The latest MAFS: After the Dinner Party episode is the icing on the cake for the wild ride that was MAFS 2026. From unseen footage and social media feuds to calling out behaviour and lies that didn’t change post-experiment, hosts Laura Byrne, Brittany Hockley and Jules Lund asked the questions that every MAFS fan desperately wanted. The finale was teased to be pure chaos, and it definitely delivered. The hosts are joined by Danny and Bec, Scott, Alissa, Joel, Chris, Rachel and Rebecca during the episode (so basically, everyone). Gia was originally scheduled to show up, with Chris appearing as her emotional support, however, she bailed last minute, leaving the studio and her friend high and dry. The opposite was true for Danny’s appearance, which was a complete blindside since he had spent the last week ignoring calls from the producers. He then decided last minute to fly to Sydney and have his say. And, it’s safe to say this impulsive decision didn’t go quite as planned for Danny. However, despite everything they’ve seen from contestants this season, Laura and Britt revealed to WHO that they’re firm Bec apologists as the MAFS season comes to a close. “You know, Bec has been on her apology tour and it’s really humanised her,” Laura told WHO. “And, you know, it’s humanised her to us as well. Like we don’t sit there and be like, Bec needs to be held accountable. We’re like, Bec, this is hard.” While this may not be everyone’s opinion at the end of the show, Laura and Britt’s opinion reveals the vital role MAFS: After the Dinner Party has played this year, and how there’s been an opportunity for redemption. Danny refuses to face Bec in public While a lot of drama went down during this finale episode, Bec and Danny were at the centre of it. Danny arrives while the rest of the contestants are on the couch, but his one request was that he didn’t want to sit on the couch with Bec. Hearing this, Bec believed she deserved an explanation and asked Scott to chat to Danny man-to-man. In the end, Danny didn’t budge and Bec resorted to watching his solo couch moment from the side lines, with Alissa and Chris by her side. After Danny complained back stage about the “rough ride” he’s had on the show and that he’s “just going to go out there and get abused by two women [Laura and Brit]”, he still chose to go out there and drag Bec for “saying some lies in the press”. He also admitted to apologising to Steph (but still not Bec…), and said he was “disgusted” by his behaviour. Laura, Britt, and Bec all call Danny out on his behaviour and the “fake apologises” he dishes out on the couch and backstage. While Danny and Bec left their relationship at ‘let’s shake hands and never see each other again’, it also looks like we won’t be seeing much of Danny from here on out as he said that fans “won’t see [him] anywhere” after this finale. “This is the last time you’ll see me on your screens. I’m done. I’ve got no interest in fame or none of that. Promise you all my whole life. I’ll never do another TikTok,” he said. Why are Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley backing Bec? Speaking to WHO after just filming the MAFS: After the Experiment finale, Laura and Brittany reveal that after everything Bec has done, they’re standing by her. While the MAFS bride apologises for the last time on the show, saying she wants “to be a better person” and “for one last time, I’m so sorry for the people I’ve hurt,” Laura and Brittany told WHO that they truly believed her. In their eyes, they believe Bec has really committed to taking “accountability.” “She is someone who I think has taken accountability and is changing, and has been there for all of the participants as a support person,” Laura said. “I actually think, yeah, I think people need to be softer on her for sure.” Laura and Britt believe that Bec’s apology tour has “humanised” her. While the nature of reality TV doesn’t excuse her behaviour, they could empathise with the experience of feeling trapped in the world of reality TV, and coming out the other side with a new perspective. “She knows the differences now. And, we can say this because we’ve been in a reality show world before,” Brittany said. “For three months, we were locked away in The Bachelor,” she continued. “You’re still so in that vortex that it’s different when you leave, and you’re removed and you’re watching it from a bird’s eye view.” While people may not agree with the After the Experiment hosts, they’re experience and conversations have led them to believe that Bec is well and truly on the up, proving that while these drama-filled spin-off series bring “accountability”, they can also bring “redemption.” “I also think our show does two things,” Laura said. “On one hand, it’s the accountability piece, which everyone loves. But it’s also the redemption story.” Loading the player…
