Detailsinfo
A vulnerability was found in Livemesh Livemesh Addons by Elementor Plugin up to 9.0 on WordPress. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function lae_get_template_part of the component Template Name Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a filename control vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-98. The PHP application receives input from an upstream component, but it does not restrict or incorrectly restricts the input before its usage in "require," "include," or similar functions. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
The Livemesh Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 9.0. This is due to insufficient sanitization of the template name parameter in the `lae_get_template_part()` function, which uses an inadequate `str_replace()` approach that can be bypassed using recursive directory traversal patterns. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the attacker to include and execute local files via the widget's template parameter granted they can trick an administrator into performing an action or install Elementor.
The weakness was disclosed by Craig Smith. The advisory is available at wordfence.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-1620 since 01/29/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy.
