What You Need to Know
Jones Day fell victim to a phishing incident and 10 of its clients' data was exposed to hackers.
The hack was reported to come from Silent Ransom Group, a hacker outfit known to target law firms that the FBI warned about in 2025.
Other firms have also fallen victim to Silent Ransom Group recently, but Jones Day is the largest of the known recent victims.

Jones Day's data breach, which the firm confirmed this week, signals that large law firms are still vulnerable to sophisticated phishing attempts, which often occur when hackers impersonate authorized contacts.
