(CNA, Administration for Digital Industries) Matthew Strong Taiwan News, Staff Writer 256 TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Administration for Digital Industries under the Ministry of Digital Affairs took nine Taiwanese cybersecurity companies to exhibit at the 2026 Japan IT Week Spring expo, reports said Tuesday. The companies displayed their expertise and achievements in AI cybersecurity and post-quantum cryptography at the Cyber Taiwan Pavilion during the April 8-10 event, per CNA. The exhibits highlighted Taiwan’s capabilities as a reliable partner in the global digital supply chain. The Taiwan Digital Defense Consortium and the Taiwan Information Security Association worked with the ministry to deepen cooperation with Japan’s cybersecurity sector. Through technology exchanges, the two countries could strengthen the security aspect of digital transformation, the Administration for Digital Industries said. During the expo, the Taiwanese companies had the opportunity to meet and discuss cooperation with nearly 600 potential partners. The discussions resulted in business deals estimated at a total value of NT$13.5 million (US$426,000), CNA quoted the administration as saying. Participation in the expo significantly lowered the barrier for Taiwanese companies to enter Japan’s cybersecurity market and promote Taiwan’s exports in the sector, according to ministry officials. The administration said it would continue attending overseas expos to expand exchanges with foreign companies and boost the reach of Taiwan’s cybersecurity sector. # Administration for Digital Industries # Taiwan-Japan cooperation # Cybersecurity Related Articles Taiwan chip equipment maker Grand Process Technology targeted in ransomware attack Apr. 9, 2026 18:38 Taiwan lawmakers discuss semiconductors at Japan Diet Apr. 8, 2026 17:29 Taiwan, US hold cybersecurity training event in Guatemala Apr. 8, 2026 14:41 Cyberattacks on Taiwan telecom, biotech sectors rise Apr. 6, 2026 16:55 Taiwan's Line users report compromised accounts Mar. 31, 2026 21:15 Taiwan’s central role in Indo-Pacific Mar. 26, 2026 09:34 MOST READ S Korea removes listing of Taiwan as part of China in e-arrival card system New Taipei launches smart pedestrian canopy pilot program Gasoline prices unchanged for second week in Taiwan US general says China has no say in Taiwan arms sales Taiwan sees Chinese arriving in small boats as form of gray zone tactics Tale of 2 straits: Taiwan and Hormuz Taiwan's Matsu pilgrimage gets high-tech safety upgrade Taiwan’s Starlux Airlines cancels flights due to delivery delays Southeast Asian Kenangan Coffee debuts in Taiwan Taiwan concerned meeting between KMT and China leaders sends wrong signal
