Season 13 served up more chaos than an unwelcome photo-ranking challenge, and the one question on everyone's lips is: which relationships actually survived the experiment? All eyes were on Stella and Filip. These cuties gave us all the feels at their wedding, and their snow-covered honeymoon has been added to my manifestation board. Of course, it wouldn't be MAFS without some absolute car crashes. Mel and Luke's painful dynamic was the definition of cringe, and Steve and Rebecca were already giving us 'divorced by the third dinner party' vibes. And don't get us started on the intruders. With last night's final vows actually filmed months ago, fans are left wondering who's really still together. Fear not, we did the digging for you. ADVERTISEMENT They were late to arrive to the experiment, but intruder couple Tyson and Steph quickly proved to be one of the experiment's most controversial pairings. More specifically, Tyson's constant babbling about wanting Steph to be a 'submissive wife' outraged viewers. As a couple, they didn't get along. They clashed at their wedding over how many kids Tyson wanted and whether Steph should be allowed to work (yes, really) and by the end of their honeymoon, they were in separate rooms. They didn't get off to a great start and then came that commitment ceremony where Tyson attempted to justify his homophobia in front of Sam and Chris — the only gay couple on the show. The tension was palpable and things quickly unravelled. While Steph tried to articulate her feelings further, Tyson had clearly made up his mind. "I don't see a future with this person", he told John Aiken. He said it about Steph, without even looking at her. "I'm done with this bullshit, I'm done with this bickering, I'm done with this experiment," he said. And he walked. Soon after, the pair sat down for an interview with Nine, revealing that they had both moved on. "I am who I am, I'm not perfect, but at least I was being true to myself," Tyson said. ADVERTISEMENT Sam and Chris were the much-anticipated same-sex intruder couple. They're both in their 30s and they both run gyms — it's a match made in heaven, right? Of course, the one roadblock at the start of their story was the small detail that Chris was expecting two children — one via surrogate and one as a donor for a friend. Sam stated at their wedding he wasn't ready for kids, so umm… that's awkward. After their honeymoon, the pair seemed to be getting on swimmingly but then things started to fall apart. They clashed at a dinner party, with Sam saying he felt as though his feelings weren't being considered. Then Chris blindsided Sam and wrote "leave" at the end of the commitment ceremony, while Sam had written "stay" with the hopes of repairing their relationship. As the rules of the show go, Sam's "stay" meant the pair had another week in the experiment to attempt to mend things but by the end of an awkward Homestays week, they decided to call things off for good. Are Joel and Juliette still together? Image: Nine. ADVERTISEMENT Juliette, a 27-year-old receptionist, and Joel, a 31-year-old Uber driver-turned-model, were the first intruders to join MAFS. Their relationship had a rocky start. Juliette entered the experiment with sincerity, but Joel's humour (and his mother's icky wedding speech) created immediate tension. Joel speaking about his attachment to his teddy bear was definitely an odd choice. There seemed to be hope for their connection during their Gold Coast honeymoon, but that soon faded. Cracks in their relationship showed during Crash Course week and Juliette humiliated Joel — and his teddy bear — at a dinner party. Surprisingly, Juliette still wrote "stay" at the fourth Commitment Ceremony but by the time the fifth came around, Juliette walked out on Joel before it could be revealed whether she wrote "stay" or "leave". He did…. after a painfully long wait. But after that bump in the road, they went on to become one of the most stable couples of the experiment… at least for some time. They made it to the final vows ceremony and their relationship fell apart with spectacular drama — the type that reality dating shows like this are hinged on. "It breaks my heart," Alissa said ahead of the ceremony, "that I'm going to break his heart. The ball is in my court today." But cut to the ceremony, and Alissa never got the chance. David told Alissa that she opened his heart and he fell for her but that the relationship was coming at a cost. "I'm not walking away because I stopped loving you," he said. "I'm walking away because loving you shouldn't mean losing myself." Then he walked away, leaving Alissa alone at the altar before she got a chance to read her own vows. Are Rachel and Steven still together? Image: Nine. Rachel and Steven were considered the experiment's sweetheart couple, with a very strong early connection. But their journey wasn't without some bumpy moments: Rachel questioned why Steven hadn't complimented her on their wedding day and on their honeymoon, she was left in tears over some 'banter' that went too far. But in the end, they got their banter back on track and made it to the final vows ceremony, where Rachel said, "I choose you, Steven". ADVERTISEMENT And Steven chose her back. It's unclear whether their relationship has made it beyond the show. One insider claimed to Refinery29 Australia that the pair split soon after the final vows. "Rachel gave everything to that relationship and everyone saw Steven start to come around at the end," the insider said, before claiming that Steven didn't make plans to visit her after Final Vows which led to their breakup. But while the bride and groom got along famously, her friends, Joe and Leila, were sceptical of Filip for promoting his YouTube channel in his vows. His YouTube career didn't end up getting in the way and the pair made it to the Final Vows. "I am 100 per cent in love with Stella," Filip said before the vow ceremony. "And I want to be with her for the rest of my life." At the ceremony, Filip dropped to one knee under the Harbour Bridge and Stella lost it in excitement. "I knew," Stella said. "After three days, I knew this was it for me." And it seems their relationship is still going strong post-show. Stella and Filip are still following each other on Instagram and in a handful of videos shared on TikTok, the couple has been spotted out together, walking hand in hand. A fellow bride, Alissa, also said something in an interview that suggested the couple are still together. "[I'm] obviously still friends with Stella and Filip, [I'm] like literally so close to them," Alissa previously told PEDESTRIAN.TV. "I caught up with them for dinner the other night." Chris wanted a woman who wasn't needy, along with a list of some even more offensive requirements. They're this year's weirdest match and from their wedding, they didn't get off to the greatest start after Chris was annoyed that Brook didn't kiss him on the lips. Brook was later left outraged when she discovered Chris' fatphobic comments he made in his audition tapes. All in all, Chris arrived with a super sceptical attitude towards the experiment and… perhaps for good reason. After some intense dinner party antics, where Brook verbally attacked multiple women while ignoring her husband, she abruptly left the second commitment ceremony and never returned. But even before ejecting herself from the experiment, it was made very clear Brook and Chris were not together. In week two, Brook announced to Woman's Day that she was engaged to her ex-partner and expecting a baby with him. Are Bec and Danny still together? Image: Nine ADVERTISEMENT These two didn't get off to the greatest start, with Bec making constant digs at Danny on their wedding day, from being put off by him joking about being bailed out of prison in his vows, to taunting the brooch he pinned to his suit. After getting intimate on their honeymoon, Danny admitted he didn't feel sexual chemistry with his new bride, driving a wedge between them. After that, their relationship on the show was tense. But they made it to the Final Vows and despite the bumps in the road, Bec chose him. Awkwardly, Danny didn't feel the same. He revealed that he didn't miss her when he went home to Melbourne. "I'm so sorry to do this, but I think we both deserve a happier relationship… and, like… a healthier one," he said. And that marked the end of Bec and Danny. Are Julia and Grayson still together? The season's bisexual bride, Julia. In suspenseful nuptials, Julia didn't know whether she had been matched with a man or a woman. "For me, it's not some performative thing, I really have fallen in love with men, and I really have fallen in love with women," she told the experts. Julia and Grayson hit it off immediately but ended up calling it quits at the third Commitment Ceremony. In an interview with Mamamia, Grayson made his opinions on Julia clear. "What is it that these experts saw in Julia that they thought we were compatible? We don't have any common interests," he said. "I feel like I was absolutely robbed… I put it all on hold just for this shot at love. Julia didn't even want to get to know me on a friendship basis. There was just no interest in me whatsoever — it's hard to digest." After leaving the show, Julia confirmed that she found love with her girlfriend, Sasha. And that's that! Are Rebecca and Steve still together? The single parents had an instant connection, with Rebecca enamoured with her 'silver fox' and Steve smitten with Rebecca's infectious laugh. Their genuine chemistry only intensified during their honeymoon in the Whitsundays. ADVERTISEMENT However, revelations week revealed some cracks in the relationship when Steve detailed a long list of Rebecca's red flags to the other grooms. After a few days of tense arguments over Rebecca being 'too much' for Steve (yikes), the couple decided to leave the experiment. Are Gia and Scott still together? On their honeymoon, they sealed their connection by getting intimate. From there, these two quickly anointed themselves as the season's 'power couple', and Gia hasn't been shy of exerting her dominance over the other couples. But it seemed the power couple burned a little too bright. In a chat with Mamamia, Gia confirmed that her and Scott were officially over. She believed he wasn't in the experiment for the right reasons. "I do believe he was just going along with the flow just to stay on the show. 100 per cent. And hopefully, that plays out and people can see it." Gia said she didn't think Scott was a good match for her. "Honestly, when I watched the wedding episode where I saw his backstory, I actually said to my girlfriends, 'If I had seen this video of this man, I would never have married him'," she said. "Generally, what I asked for wasn't who he was. He was super healthy, into work and fitness and doing crazy stuff... I wanted someone a bit more stable. Someone who felt like home." A source told Chattr that Scott strung Gia along for airtime and only did the show to boost his new business. "At the last Dinner Party, he said he was too good for everyone and that they're beneath him," the source said. "He said to his wife on camera that she wasn't his calibre." Their relationship started badly after Luke arrived late to their wedding because he forgot the wedding rings. In return, Mel held a grudge and expressed a lack of "spark". This theme continued through their honeymoon and the first dinner party, where these two could barely get through a convo without a painfully long silence.
