Bec admits to FRAMING Gia on MAFS as short-lived friendship implodes - New Idea

Married at First Sight brides Gia Fleur and Bec Zacharia have been warring since they first met, and their feud has taken a shocking turn nobody could have predicted. The brides surprised viewers when they formed an unlikely friendship in the final week of the experiment, overcoming their differences amid their issues with their respective grooms, Scott McCristal and Danny Hewitt. Bec firmly supported Gia at the final Dinner Party, urging her to stay and read a letter to win Scott over, with the two women caught on mic plotting a staged crying stunt to try and save Gia’s skin. However, it has now emerged that everything was not as it seemed, as Bec has admitted to framing Gia and setting her up at the Dinner Party, which ended with her and Scott calling it quits for good. On Stan’s spin-off show, After The Dinner Party, Gia was shown shocking footage of Bec admitting that she had persuaded Gia to write the letter to cause a row between her and Scott. (Credit: Stan ) “I don’t want to sit at a Dinner Party and have issues with people, I want to see Gia and Scott have it out with each other,” she boldly confessed to camera alongside Stella Mickunaite. “The only person that was going to get her here was the only friend she had, which was me.” Bec wildly confessed she had wanted to “frame” Gia as she revealed her intentions weren’t to help her former rival. “She f***ed me over and now you look like a d***, so see you,” she continued. “I’m framing them and selling them.” Upon watching the bombshell clip, Gia broke down in tears as she admitted she had truly believed her and Bec were friends in that moment. “I feel like an idiot. I genuinely thought she was my friend at that point, that sucks,” Gia said through tears. Gia said she has continued to try to be friends with Bec, even inviting her to her birthday party after filming, as she admitted it hurt to see the video. Needless to say, the two women are no longer on good terms and have been vocal about their dislike for one another in interviews. They formed a short-lived friendship in the final week of the experiment after their husbands “betrayed” them at the final Commitment Ceremony. Rather than vent about it alone, they decided to walk hand in hand to a pub to share their frustrations. Gia addressed their very unexpected friendship as viewers were stunned over their sudden truce, given that they had been rivals for months in the experiment. “Bec and I have had our differences in this experiment. We’ve hated each other, we’ve loved each other in a back and forth, but I feel like right now, we relate more to each other than we ever have,” she explained as a way to justify this complete 180. “Both of us feel like we’re in love with these men, and we’re not getting the same back.” Bec vented that she wanted her partner to look after her and provide for her, and Danny was failing to do that. (Credit: Channel Nine) “Gia and I have come together today because after last night’s commitment ceremony, Gia and I have both feel underappreciated by our husbands,” she explained.   Gia also felt upset about Scott not returning her declaration of love. While catching up over a drink, Bec began mocking their husbands and other grooms in the experiment, suggesting they can’t handle strong women. “Neither of them are that hot!” she snapped, which made Gia laugh. “Danny is not that hot, he looks like a frog, Scott’s not that hot, he’s got a pointy nose… brother, why do you think that you’re that hot?” She then said the “sub-par” men were lucky to be married to women like herself and Gia. And it didn’t stop there as they walked in giggling and laughing to their final group task, which saw the men and women meet other people they could have been matched with on the show. When they met their alternative matches, Bec even said she wanted to play “cupid” for Gia with her date, James. Throughout their interactions, James was incredibly upfront with the mother-of-one, and even wrote down his phone number for her. Even though she brutally rejected it, Bec was not having it. “James, give it to me, and I’ll give it to her when she needs it later on,” the Adelaide bride joked. (Credit: Channel Nine) The texting scandal The brides had previously spent weeks fighting about the messages they sent in a group chat about bride Alissa Fay. After the couple’s retreat, Gia sent screenshots of Bec’s messages to Juliette, who then sent them to Alissa. The infamous texts saw Bec call Alissa a “rat” and a string of shocking expletives, sending shockwaves through the group. At the time, Bec was horrified and accused Gia of throwing her under the bus as a form of payback, which the mother of one admitted to. Bec tried to defend herself by arguing that Gia had exposed them to “take her down”, but Alissa urged her to take accountability for her own words. “Gia played a part in them as well, but what came out of your mouth, I was in tears, it was vile and vicious, babe,” Alissa fumed. Bec has repeatedly tried to blame Gia and accused her of trying to take her down as their rivalry hit breaking point and began to affect the entire group. She said that they would be able to bond over their dislike of the same person, their fellow bride, Alissa Fay. Bec separately revealed that she wasn’t a fan of Alissa’s, saying that they run in “the same circles” in Adelaide, hinting at some preexisting history between them. “I don’t want any beef with you, babe,” Gia told Bec, insisting she “loved” her and didn’t wany any hostility between them. Bec also conceded that she had taken things “the wrong way” at the Hens Party as the former arch enemies appeared to become friends. When Brook Crompton made a shock return to the dinner party, Bec sat with the two women and backed them in their blazing row with Alissa. Bec was seen shouting at Alissa over the table as the bride accused the girl group of “bullying” in a shocking twist to the fallout. However, the peace between Bec and Gia was short-lived when Brook dropped a shocking bombshell at the end of the episode. She claimed that Bec’s partner, Danny Hewitt, had said Gia was “his type” in comments which left Bec devastated. Gia insisted Danny had remarked off-camera, while Danny firmly denied he had said any such thing, with Bec left confused over who to trust. As tensions rose, Bec screamed across the table, “No, you’re not coming for my husband! Don’t you f**king dare!” before walking off in tears. Bec and Gia have been vocal about their dislike for each other in interviews, but their “frenemie” relationship appears to be ongoing. Fans were baffled when Bec turned up to Gia’s birthday party, despite their rocky relationship, with the pair greeting one another with smiles and hugs. Juliette revealed that she was uninvited from the party because Bec was there in a surprising turn of events. “I [initially] got invited, like late notice I think as well. And then, because Bec was there, she told me that she didn’t want me there ’cause Bec’s gonna be there. And I said, ‘Fair enough’,” she told the Daily Mail. “I think Gia got really swept up in trying to be friends with Bec again.” Previously, Bec and Gia were vocal about their feud in interviews promoting MAFS. After their exchanges at the hen’s night, Gia alleged to Chattr that her initial comments about Bec were in response to her calling her a “trashy s***”. However, the Adelaide local has denied this. “I actually rang production after I [saw Gia’s claims], and I said, guys, I need to know if [there is footage of me saying this], because if [it exists], she deserves an apology from me,” Bec told Chattr. She said that the production crew assured her that it was not said, and said such a statement would have made “reality TV gold”. “I think it would be a bit premature to make that assumption [about] someone before even getting to know them,” she continued. It appears the friendship between Gia and Bec won’t last long. (Credit: Channel Nine) Initially, Gia told the publication that Bec said it to her face. “That was at the beginning of the evening, before I’d said anything, but that wasn’t shown, so I get why people are thinking I’m horrible, but a lot of things are out of context, and not the whole evening was shown,” the Victorian, who is matched with Scott McCristal alleged. Previously, Gia, 35, told The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick that she “hates” the MAFS bride. “Bec and I have a rivalry across the whole season,” she explained. “I would compare it to Cyrell [Paule] and Jess [Power] from a couple of seasons ago.” Gia also teased that she will be at the centre of many dinner party clashes, as there looks to be much more drama to come. “I feel like every year they say this is the biggest season ever,” she said. In a separate interview, Bec also told the Daily Mail that they are “fundamentally very different people”, and she did not like Gia’s attitude. “Rachel was opening up on the couch, telling her story, and I could see eye rolling,” she claimed. “It didn’t sit well with me. It costs nothing to be kind.” She continued to say that she refused to engage in any conversations with the other brides, and also rejected claims that she judged her past affiliation with Playboy. The Adelaide local said it was a matter of their personalities clashing, and “nothing more”. “She said I stared at her with evil eyes, but I was reacting to what I was receiving,” she said.  The feud between Bec and Gia began at the Married at First Sight hen’s party. Before coming face-to-face, Bec and Gia discussed their issues with their husbands. “She came at me for no reason,” Gia said of the hen’s party, after claiming that Bec judged her when they first met. “We just didn’t mesh, we just didn’t mesh well,” Bec countered to her husband, Danny. While Bec explained that she has patched things up with Danny despite their lack of sexual chemistry, she admitted to Rebecca that Gia could be Danny’s type. When asked by a producer about her comment to Rebecca, Bec shut it down instantly. “I don’t want to talk about it… I’m not talking about it, I’m not bringing it into light, it’s a no,” she stated, claiming it brought “bad vibes”. Even though Bec doesn’t want to acknowledge her comment, Gia did notice Danny’s stares. Despite hugging and complimenting each other at the cocktail party, the friction intensified. Their relationships have almost taken a backseat compared to their feud. Throughout the dinner party, Gia was determined to see if the other couples were intimate, which rubbed Bec the wrong way. “She feels like her relationship is so good right now, and she’s in this dream place. Like I’m really happy for her that she has really good sex, I’m happy for her,” Bec said, but said the controversial bride should “read the room”. Tensions flared when Bec and Danny laughed at Gia and Scott bragging about their honeymoon in Townsville, because they went to Fiji. “You know what, Townsville was lovely, sorry. And do you know what? It seems like we got on better than you and your man, who is looking me up and down. So chill,” Gia quipped in her confessional, before asking if they were intimate. They did not admit to it right away, but did when Gia asked the whole table the same question. “Sometimes the ones that are a slow burn are the ones that are a very, very, very good match in the long term and lasting match. And the ones that start off so strong actually crumble,” Bec said, which Gia disagreed with. Tensions began between Bec and Gia at the hen’s party, as they didn’t appear to get along upon their first meeting. She was looking at me in a way like, I hate this b***h, and I was giving it back, so I don’t really care.” She also called Bec a “five out of 10”, but told the Daily Mail that her remark was taken out of context. “That wasn’t about how she looks,” she claimed. “It was about her attitude, her demeanour and the way she was looking at me.
