The establishment of SOMCIRT is expected to enhance coordination in addressing cyber threats while strengthening the protection of critical digital infrastructure across the country.
Mr. Mustafa Yasin Sheikh, Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), explained that the center was established following extensive national consultations and technical assessments aimed at strengthening Somalia’s ability to respond to cyber threats.
